Happy first day of spring! As the weather starts to warm up, it’s time to spring into wellness. Allergies are very common during springtime, which typically begins in March. Symptoms includes sneezing, a stuffy nose, itchy nose, eyes, or throat, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. Here are some spring allergies and wellness tips: ● Do not use window fans. Instead, use air conditioner. ● Keep home doors and windows closed to keep pollen out, especially when pollen levels are highest. Check an online pollen tracker to know when pollen counts are high. ● Keep allergy eye drops and/or allergy medication on hand. ● Eat foods rich with vitamin C and folic acid to help fight allergies. Fruits with high vitamin C includes Oranges, grapefruit, cantaloupe, kiwi fruit, papaya, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon. Food that are high in folic acid includes leafy green vegetables, beans, breads, cereal, rice, and pasta. ● Wash clothes and bedding often. With the holiday season approaching, Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals can help you save money. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, and it is the biggest shopping day of the year. Before you shop in stores or online, here are some safety tips you need to know. Not only is the Great California ShakeOut an annual drill to inform, prepare, respond, and recover in the event of a disaster, but also for communities, schools, and organizations to review and update their emergency preparedness. Also, California has a higher risk of earthquakes due to the infamous San Andreas Fault line. 24HRMED’s Emergency Evacuation Plan details procedures in the event of a fire, earthquake, explosion, disaster, or medical emergencies. 24HRMED Annual Team Building Event
On August 17, 2018, 24HRMED corporate team members headed to Ronald Reagan Park in Diamond Bar for their annual team building event. Although it was hot out, team members were ready to face off one another in multiple team building activities and games. Corporate members were divided into four teams through a random draw. Games included two ice breakers, and a relay. Each team members will work together to solve trivia/riddles, complete a short race, and go head to head in a very competitive game of Jenga. The team with the most points by the end of the games wins. During lunch, our Human Resources manager counted the scores and team The Hammer came out victorious with the highest score! Congrats Team!!
